That is possible, because it is an advance payment. This can differ from the actual net salary. If your wage is lower than it should be, you will receive the remaining amount through a supplementary payment of the actual worked hours. Another reason the advance payment is not equal to your actual wage, can be because of a withholding. This happens for example when you have been sick.
