What is the difference between holiday pay and holiday hours?

Modified on Wed, 20 Mar at 4:22 PM

Vakantiegeld refers to the additional payment that is accrued based on the worked hours and the accumulation of reservations. It is paid out once a year to the employee.

On the other hand, vacation hours refer to the hours accrued based on the number of hours worked and are reflected in your reservations. These vacation hours can be seen as your allotted vacation days. Based on a full-time employment contract, an employee is entitled to 25 vacation days, which is equivalent to 160 vacation hours.
