What does time-for-time mean?

Modified on Wed, 20 Mar at 4:34 PM

Tijd-voor-tijd (TVT) refers to a situation where, if you work more hours than your contracted hours in a given week, the employer may decide to compensate you by providing additional time off in lieu of overtime pay. These accumulated TVT hours are added to your reservations (vacation pay and vacation hours). Essentially, it means that the extra hours you work are converted into a time-off reserve.
