Why do I have to upload an identification document?

Modified on Wed, 20 Mar at 3:13 PM

When working for JAM!, your employer needs to register you. The registration is successful when JAM! has received all the required documents correctly and completely. A copy of your identification document is part of this process. Only after completing the registration can JAM! proceed with paying your salary. Therefore, it is important to provide your information accurately and on time.

We are obligated to comply with the "Identification Document Retention Obligation" (Bewaarplicht identiteitsbewijs) as stated by the Dutch government. You can find more information about it here:

We require a clear copy of your identification document. The document number, photo, and Citizen Service Number (BSN) should be clearly readable. We keep this copy in our records for potential inspections, such as by the Dutch Labor Inspection (Nederlandse Arbeidsinspectie). We are obligated to retain the copy for at least 5 years after the calendar year in which the employee has left our service

Please also refer to "How should I upload the front and back of my identification document during registration?" for more information.

If any part of the registration process is unclear to you, feel free to contact us at:
 data@jamhoreca.nl  or +31 20 888 14 77.
