What percentage of holiday pay do I accrue?

The percentage of vacation pay accrued depends on the type of employment agreement:

Payroll Agreement: Vacation pay is accrued at a rate of 8% on the worked hours and the accumulation of reservations (such as time-for-time accrual and vacation hours).

Secondment Agreement: Vacation pay is accrued at a rate of 8.33% on the worked hours and the accumulation of reservations (such as time-for-time accrual and vacation hours).

Some clients of JAM! directly pay vacation pay and vacation hours to their mobile workers. In this case, vacation pay is not accrued.

When we pay out your vacation pay once a year, it falls under the special tax rate (bijzonder tarief) according to the tax authorities. This rate is divided into different scales, and the percentages are determined annually. The percentage of the special tax rate applied to the payout of your vacation pay can be found at the bottom of your payslip. This percentage is determined based on your gross annual salary. We cannot adjust or modify these percentages. If you have been classified at a higher income scale and have paid too much in wage tax, you may receive a refund when filing your tax return. However, we cannot guarantee this outcome.
